” Configure FlowFox Alerts to be Sent To Microsoft Teams
Step 1 - Create or choose the Teams channel
Open Microsoft Teams.
Navigate to the Team where alerts should appear.
Create a new channel or select an existing one.
Step 2 - ” Allow FlowFox to Send Email to the Channel (Required)
To ensure Teams accepts alerts from FlowFox, add the FlowFox sending address as a guest in the Team.
Open the Team where alerts will be posted.
Click Add member.
Enter:
dailytaskupdate@flowfox.net
Add it as a Guest.
Teams will create a guest user and allow it to post emails into the channel.
Step 3 - ” Enable Email Addressfor the channel
In the channel, click the (More options) next to the channel name.
Select Get email address.
Teams will generate a unique email address for this channel.
If you do not see "Get email address" your Teams admin must enable it in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center under Teams → Org-wide settings → Email integration.
Step 4 - ” Copy the channel email address
Copy the email address provided.
This is the address that FlowFox will send alerts to.
Step 5 - ” Add the email address FlowFox
In FlowFox settings, set the recipient email to the Teams channel email address.

Configure FlowFox Alerts to be Sent To Slack (Paid Slack Plan Required)
Step 1 - ” Add the Slack Email App
Go to: https://slack.com/apps
Search for Email (Slack's official Email App).
Click Add to Slack.
Step 2- ” Choose the Target Channel
When prompted, select the Slack channel where alerts should appear.
Click Add Email Integration.
Step 3 - ” Slack Generates a Unique Email Address
Slack will display a dedicated email address for that channel.
Copy this email address.
Ensure the channel allows apps to post messages (this is enabled by default in Slack).
Step 4 - ” Add the Email Address in FlowFox
In FlowFox settings, paste the Slack channel email address into the Alert Email field.
Save by switching email alerts to ON.

Configure FlowFox Alerts to be Sent To Rocket.Chat
Steps to Configure
Step 1 - ” Ensure Email Ingestion is Enabled
Rocket.Chat supports receiving emails directly into channels using the Email Inboxes feature.
Log in to Rocket.Chat as an administrator.
Go to Administration @ Email @ Inboxes.
Click + New Inbox to create a new inbound email configuration.
If you don't see Email Inboxes, ensure your Rocket.Chat version supports it and that email (IMAP/SMTP) is configured in Administration → Email.
Step 2 - ” Configure the Email Inbox
You will now create an inbox that forwards incoming emails into a channel.
Enter a Name for the inbox (e.g., System Alerts).
Under Email Address, enter the email address that will receive alerts (e.g., alerts@yourdomain.com).
Configure the IMAP settings for the mailbox:
- IMAP server
- Port
- Username
- Password
- SSL/TLS settings
Step 3 - ” Choose the Target Channel
In the Destination Channel field, select the channel where alerts should appear.
If the channel doesn't exist yet, create it first:
- Go to Channels → Create Channel
- Name it (e.g., system-alerts)
- Set visibility (public/private)
Step 4 - ” Save and Activate the Inbox
Click Save.
Rocket.Chat will begin polling the mailbox and posting new emails into the selected channel.
Step 5 - ” Add the email address FlowFox
In FlowFox settings, set the recipient email to the Teams channel email address.
Save (by switching email alerts to on)
